are an Alberta-based, family-owned business looking to grow our Casino’s
leadership team. Our current locations include Cash Casino Calgary, Cash Casino
Red Deer and ACE Casino Calgary. We are currently constructing a brand
new 72,000 sq ft casino at the Calgary International Airport that is expected
to open in November 25, 2022.
In this exciting role, the Controller will assist in
executing Cash Casino's financial strategy. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will
focus primarily on overseeing cash flow, accounting, internal controls, processes,
analysis and reporting for the two Calgary and one Red Deer locations.
This role has three direct reports, the Accountant,
Payroll Administrator and the Accounts Payable and Accounting Administrator
will report directly to the Controller.

analyze and manage cash flow for the businesses on a daily basis and
weekly rolling basis;
and analyze reports relating to gaming revenue and related trending;
monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for owners, lenders, ALGC and
monthly operating and capital budgets on an annual basis and monitor and
analyze monthly to actuals to the budget;
monthly financial results and market share analysis to Ownership group;
and support payroll including a full review of biweekly payroll prepared
by the Payroll Administrator;
overtime with managers and assess business needs and make recommendations on
an ongoing basis;
payroll and HR management, research and guidance as required;
and file GST and NRT filings on time and accurately;
externally prepared T2 and T5013 Returns, ensure on time filing and
appropriate tax installments and remittances.
month end and year end procedures and ensure compliance with our lender,
the CRA and AGLC;
month end working papers and the trial balance to ensure accurate and complete
account reconciliations and General Ledger analysis;
closely with the management team to ensure that the company is operating
efficiently and provide reporting, analysis and recommendations to assist
management with decision making;
develop and/or refine policies, procedures, and controls and monitor their
implementation and compliance;
and keep complete records for all contracts and insurance;
recommendations as to best practices and industry trends;
recommendations for the industry’s best accounting software and implement best
directly with external auditors for year end and interim requests related
to the audit;
monitor and manage annual budgets and forecasts for department managers
and for lenders.
Designation with preferably seven years experience in a Financial
of Commerce Degree with a major in Accounting;
with public practice is considered an asset;
managing a team;
with full cycle accounting;
knowledge and experience – Sage300, Micros, Squirrel, and MS suite,
including SharePoint and excel functions;
ability to have a keen eye for detail, ability to analyze information and
to strictly adhere to multiple deadlines and work well under pressure to
meet organizational goals.
