Civil Engineer- Lafayette, Louisiana
Providence, a Baton Rouge-based engineering firm providing environmental and civil engineering services, is seeking a Civil Engineer in or around the Lafayette area. A solid technical background in civil engineering, including but not limited to, construction engineering, drainage, coastal, and/or wastewater and project management.
- Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan and execute projects
- Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies verifying that projects comply with various regulations
- Use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and waste/water containment facilities in line with industry and government standards
- Perform or oversee, surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction
- Present their findings to the public and clients on topics such as bid proposals, environmental impact statements, and various project designs
- Manage the design, construction, repair, maintenance, and replacement of public and private infrastructure
Skills and Experience
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Louisiana PE or ability to obtain
- Construction compliance experience
- Experience in preparing plans in AutoCAD
- Louisiana DOTD project experience preferred
- Work effectively as a team member

- Organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks
