Mechanic #1115

The Mechanic performs maintenance and repairs for the Ride Care fleet cars. Tools, computer, and maintenance building are provided to this full-time position. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with retrieval of fleet vehicles when deemed undriveable, working to restore the vehicle to operations quickly.
• Perform daily operations, preparing estimates, acquiring needed parts, implementing repairs, and submitting reports.
• Open and close the location during business hours, check for website repair submissions, and communicate with staff and clients. 
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues.
• Conduct auto body repairs when necessary.
• Replace engine components.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workshop.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in auto maintenance and repairs, along with needed certifications.
• Competency in Microsoft applications and other software platforms. 
• Proven ability to manage time effectively to produce results.
• Operate in a highly stressful environment adapting and making decisions as needed.
• Ability to multi-task, interpreting on-going problems and suggesting possible solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel within and outside the state as needed.
