Your new role

Reporting to the Operational Readiness (OR) Director, the OR Lead is a key organizational role in the Operational Readiness function and facilitates the identification and execution of OR-related activities as well as the input, tracking, and reporting activities in both the OR software package and the project schedule.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Identifying and tracking OR-related activities through regular coordination with OR team members, Project Functional Leads, and the Operations Team.
  • Facilitating or assisting in workshops and meetings to identify key requirements and risks, and the process mapping of core operational functions.
  • Inputting, updating, tracking, and reporting of activities in the OR software package.
  • Close coordination with the Operational Planning and Project Scheduling teams to ensure consistency across all planning platforms.
  • Work with Functional Leads and Operations Team to develop Capability Matrices and Training Requirements Analyses.
  • Assist in the scoping, development, and production of Standard Operating Procedures and Training Packages.
  • Assist in the translation of technical documents, in consultation with Subject Matter Experts.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 10+ years of combined experience in operational readiness in an industrial setting with large-scale project management.
  • Practical experience in gold mining (operations, asset management, maintenance, automation, etc.) and/or remote operating environments is an asset.
  • Significant experience in project scheduling and planning.
  • Practical experience in executing Change Management engagements or frameworks.
  • Experience in Primavera P6, Business Process Mapping and risk management processes (identification, tracking, mitigation).
  • Advanced skills in Excel or Power BI
  • Leadership qualities to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Advanced facilitation skills in both large and small groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
