Your Role
Reporting to the Food and Beverage Supervisor and Team Lead, the Banquet Server is committed to providing the best possible guest experience for patrons while dining at the RRC outlets. This scope includes food and beverage service for banquets and catering, in addition to stadium and special event concessions. Through consistent quality service, teamwork, and passion, the Banquet Server will positively contribute to the facility’s reputation of providing a memorable experience for all guests.
Your Responsibilities
- Accountable for providing service that meets industry best-practices and exceeds the expectations of RRC guests
- Demonstrate full knowledge of banquet operations, including varying table service setups, food lines and equipment
- Understand banquet event orders, following specifications for set up and service requirements
- Ensure all required dinnerware, glassware, cutlery, linen and equipment are prepared for events
- Knowledgeable of table service etiquette
- Serve and replenish food and beverages for assigned event
- Anticipate and understand the guest’s needs through attentive and engaging service
- Clear banquet rooms and re-set for following day
- Ensure cleanliness of all food and beverage areas exceeds expectations through adherence with sanitization and cleaning procedures
- Maintain inventory and par levels of food and beverage areas to ensure guest satisfaction
- Knowledgeable and efficient operation of Point of Sale (POS) system and payment processes, including daily cash outs and troubleshooting when applicable
- Consistently offer professional, personable and friendly service to all guests
- Follow food and beverage safety policies when handling food and beverage
- Health and Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment
- Complete all duties as listed in opening and closing procedures
- Complete other assigned responsibilities as required
Qualifications: Education & Experience
- Valid ProServe Certification
- Must have a minimum two (2) years’ experience in high volume and/or full-service hospitality operation
- Valid ProTect Certification is an asset
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalency is an asset
- Food Safe Certification is an asset
- Previous fine/casual dining experience and wine knowledge is an asset
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification is an asset
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be passionate about guest experience
- Must be energetic, outgoing, reliable and punctual.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, maintaining service levels, efficiently following direction from Team Lead
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must possess basic computational ability and computer skills
- Must have a working knowledge of types of banquet set-ups, capacities, etc.
- Must have good interpersonal and guest interaction skills
- Must have good organizational skills
- Promote and work in a team orientated environment
- Possess a willingness to learn and be constantly challenged to grow with the Food & Beverage team
- Familiarity with POS systems and payment processing

Working Conditions
- This position requires a flexible schedule including statutory holidays, early morning, late night, and weekend work
- This position involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings
- When working indoors, temperature generally is moderate and controlled systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F), possibly for a few minutes to an hour
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
- This position may include heavy lifting of supplies and equipment up to 50lbs, with the ability to bend, squat and frequently lift 25lbs
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
