Dishwasher/Busser Job Description: We have a vacant spot for a well-organized and committed dishwasher/busser. Our culinary environment is fast-paced and we expect you to be able to work as part of a team. Your main duties will include washing all plates, glasses, kitchenware & silverware, as well as bringing clean plate-ware to kitchen. For bussing, you will be expected to collect all dishes from dirty tables, remove trash and wipe tables clean. On occasion, you will be asked to assist with deep cleaning, cleaning kitchen appliances, and machines. 

Responsibilities of Dishwasher:

• Assist with bussing tables to collect soiled plates and flatware 
• Wipe tables clean when bussing
• Consistently ensure the availability of clean dishes by washing flatware, dishes, pans, and pots.
• Maintain CLEAN dish pit area
• Assisting other staff members with tasks when the need arises
• Adhering to food safety procedures and regulations
• Taking out the trash/soiled towels
• Rinsing garbage cans

Dishwasher Job Requirements:

• Ability to move fast & leave ALL dishes CLEAN
• Minimal work experience as a dishwasher
• Proficiency in operating with different types of dishes
• Knowledge and adherence to food safety procedures
• Education: No education required
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks

Schedule:

• 7 hour shift
• Day shift, no nights

• SATURDAY & SUNDAY REQUIRED
• Holidays (Not Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day)

Our first cafe opened for breakfast at about 7am one morning in 1993. Settled in a quiet neighborhood called Candler Park on the east side of Atlanta, we sold out of our signature biscuits by 11am that day. More than 30 years later, we are an institution–growing to 25 locations throughout the Southeast. But we always kept that quintessential neighborhood spirit and focused on our Southern-inspired menu of comfort food made with fresh ingredients. Though we’re famous for our grits and biscuits (we bake almost 5,000 biscuits per week at each location), our loyal guests throughout the southeast come join us to enjoy breakfast and lunch throughout the day.
