Warehouse Associate

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing, and storing inventory according to purchase orders and dealer policy. They also ensure that shipping schedules are met with attention to detail to ensure timely delivery and loss prevention.

This is a full-time permanent position, working out of our impeccably designed and furnished office. You’ll mostly work from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with irregular or extended hours as projects demand.

THE DAY TO DAY

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Ensures that key attributes such as professionalism, work and moral ethics, motivation, creativity, personal employee satisfaction and practiced.

Represents the COI brand with professional company uniform and client first approach.

Load and offload trucks and/or trailers with supplies, products, and equipment.

Manages receipt of all products, including verifying box count, packing slip counts, and inspecting for freight damage.

Documents daily and accurately, for the inventory database, all customer and COI inventory in-and-out transactions; tracks any internal movement, and updates inventory database in a timely manner.

Inputs all in and out transactions from inventory tracking sheets

Responds to customer requests and inquiries for clarification or updates on inventory products.

Sets up any special reports required by customer or COI internal team.

Maintains warehouse in clean, neat, and highly organized manner, including all stored product, supplies, equipment, parts, vehicles, etc.

Ensures that all product that is palletized is neatly stacked and wrapped for securing and protecting the product/boxes on the pallets; that all box labels are visible.

Places product in racks or on floor neatly, safely and organized; ensures product is stored so pieces don’t damage each other, so product can be removed easily and so that box labels are visible from the aisles.

Safe operation of all warehouse equipment including forklift, pallet jacks, compact machine, etc/

YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING

Minimum two (2) years warehouse experience

Experience in multi-facility and/or multi-client environment preferred

Previous experience in an office furniture, floor coverings, and demountable walls considered an asset

Strong customer service orientation with a focus toward a Customer First attitude and behaviours

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict resolution, to effectively work with all levels of staff, customers, and vendors in a professional and tactful manner.

Ability to work within tight deadlines.

Safely lift and/or carry items as required, on a regular, frequent, and unassisted basis. Items may vary from ‘light’ to ‘heavy’. 

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs safely on own and up to 150 lbs assisted

Ability to safely work at heights.

Forklift experience and certification considered an asset
