Job Title: Unit Manager/Unit Supervisor

Nursing Reports to: Director of Nursing

General Purpose: Organizes, directs, and oversees the work of the nursing staff, nursing programs, and compliance with facility policies and procedures to ensure the highest degree of quality care is offered. Provides skilled nursing care and services to residents. Supervises staff as assigned in the day-today delivery of resident care. Such supervision must be in accordance with state and federal regulations and as may be required by the Director of Nursing or Designee to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained.

Physical and Sensory Requirements: Walking, sitting, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, lifting, grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine-hand coordination. Ability to hear and respond to overhead pages. Ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel, vendors, and consultants. Ability to apply training and in-service education provided. Must present a neat, clean, professional appearance and demonstrate a positive approach with employees and residents.
