Travel Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Geriatric Nursing Assistant (“GNAâ€) is a person who is certified as a CNA with an
additional certification in geriatrics. A GNA assists individuals with activities of daily living
and provides bedside care, including basic nursing procedures, under the supervision of an RN
or LPN.
Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Requirements: Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma: GED equivalent or High School certificate. Less than one year experience required. Hoyer lift and specialty beds; Basic medical equipment (scale, thermometer, etc.); Communication devices; Synquest and basic computer skills. GNA licensure and CPRcertification with American Heart Association(AHA) required. Demonstrates the ability to follow verbal instructions, as well as the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
