Join the team at Big Bus Tours Vancouver Westcoast Sightseeing! We operate Vancouver’s Double Decker Hop-On Hop-Off tours, as well as guided tours to Whistler, Victoria, and the North Shore.

We begin hiring for our 2026 Summer Season in February, with flexible seasonal and select year-round roles available across our sales and operations teams. Seasonal start dates range from March to May, wrapping up in October. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are offered.

OPERATIONS

DRIVERS – Hop-On Hop-Off, Shuttle, and Driver Guide (Full-time or Part-Time / seasonal with opportunity to be year-round) 

Start Date: Training in March - April

We’re hiring professional, personable Drivers to safely operate our tour buses and ensure an enjoyable experience for all guests. A BC Class 1 or 2 commercial drivers license with air brake endorsement, and a clean driving abstract are required. You’ll complete pre- and post- trip inspections and follow all traffic laws and company policies. Have a class 4 unrestricted or class 5 license for at least 3 years? We can discuss licensing options for strong candidates.

Available Driver Roles:

Hop-On Hop-Off Driver – Drive a scheduled route on a Double Decker bus through Downtown Vancouver while delivering excellent guest service. Ideal for friendly, outgoing team players who enjoy interacting with guests.

Shifts: 10-12 hour shifts starting at between 7:00am to 9:30am

Shuttle Driver – Support guided tour guest logistics by transporting guests between hotels and tour buses. Work closely with Driver Guides and Dispatch and be adaptable to last-minute changes and requests.

Shifts: Approximately 6.5 hour shifts - AM (06:45-13:15) and PM (15:30-22:30)

Driver Guide – Conduct sightseeing tours while driving 20-54 passenger buses. Providing engaging live commentary across Downtown Vancouver, the North Shore, Squamish, Whistler, and Victoria. Perfect for strong and passionate storytellers who enjoy working independently.

Shifts: Vary from 7.5 hours to 16 hour shifts starting as early as 6:30am and ending as late as 10:30pm

Across all roles, you’ll share knowledge of Vancouver while driving safely and representing our team with professionalism.

 

TOUR OPERATIONS COORDINATOR (seasonal, full-time and part-time)  

Start Date: Training in March

This tour bus dispatching role is the center of our Guided Tour operations. You will plan, prepare, and coordinate daily sightseeing tours by assigning buses, supporting Drivers and Guides, and monitoring seat capacity and on-road activity. You’ll communicate constantly over radio, phone, and Microsoft Teams while working closely with operations, reservations, mechanics, and cleaning teams to keep tours on schedule and running smoothly. Strong attention to detail, quick problem solving, and a calm, solutions-focused attitude are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Shifts: 8.5 hour shifts starting as early as 6:00am or finishing as late as 9:00pm. Must be able to reliably get to our Burnaby office (8130 Winston St, Burnaby).

 

SUPERVISOR, HOP-ON, HOP-OFF OPERATIONS (Full-time or Part-Time, year-round or seasonal)  

Start Date: Training in March for April start

Our Hop-On, Hop-Off “Controller” oversees and dispatches the daily operation of our scheduled Hop-On Hop-Off tour routes. You will monitor on-road activity, seat capacity, detours, city road closures, and the timetable to ensure buses reach each stop on time. You’ll direct drivers, respond to issues in real time, and coordinate with operations, mechanics, reservations, and sales teams to keep service running smoothly. This role requires strong leadership, a guest-focused approach, adaptability, and confident problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts: 8.5 hour shifts starting as early as 6:00am. Must be able to reliably get to our Burnaby office (8130 Winston St, Burnaby).

 

STEP-ON-GUIDE (seasonal, full-time or part-time)  

Start Date: Hiring in April

You will step on a bus and lead sightseeing tours throughout Vancouver delivering engaging, informative, and entertaining commentary to guests from around the world. Your duties include sharing local history and stories, highlighting key attractions, answering guest questions, and helping create a welcoming and memorable experience. This role is ideal for strong public speakers who are passionate about Vancouver and enjoy working independently.

Shifts: Vary from 4 hours to 14 hour shifts starting as early as 7:45am and ending as late as 10:00pm

 

CLEAN TEAM MEMBER (seasonal and year-round opportunities, full-time or part-time)  

Start Date: Hiring in April 

You will clean and detail our fleet each time buses return to our Burnaby operations base. Your duties include washing exterior surfaces, thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing interiors, removing garbage, restocking supplies, and ensuring every bus is tour-ready for the next day. This role involves physical, outdoor work and requires strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a spotless fleet. Vehicle detailing experience is an asset.

Shifts: Vary from 5.5 hours to 8 hours, typically starting at 5:00pm


 

SALES

STREET SALES SPECIALIST (seasonal, full-time or part-time)  

Start Date: Training in mid-April

Your main responsibility is to engage with visitors, promote and sell Hop-On Hop-Off, sightseeing tours and attractions, and provide helpful information about things to do in Vancouver. You’ll work outdoors at various locations in downtown Vancouver, approaching guests with confidence, driving sales through strong communication, and creating a positive first impression of our company. This role requires enthusiasm, a sales-driven attitude, excellent guest interaction skills, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods.

Shifts: 6–8 hours, starting as early as 8:00am and ending as late as 7:00pm during peak summer operations.

 

GUEST SERVICE SPECIALIST, PORT OPERATIONS (seasonal, part-time)  

Start Date: Training in mid-April

You will be assisting cruise passengers as they arrive at the Port of Vancouver, guiding them to the correct tours and managing luggage tagging, storage, and transfers accurately. You will provide clear directions, answer guest questions, and ensure smooth flow during busy cruise operations. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, eligibility for Marine Transport Security Clearance, and the ability to lift, carry, and move luggage of various sizes safely and efficiently. Candidates must be available to work for the full duration of the cruise season (May – September).

Shifts: Rotating between 7:00am–11:00am and 8:00am–5:00pm (Day Storage shifts)

Hours: 20–30 hours per week

 

GUEST SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, HOP-ON, HOP-OFF (seasonal, full-time or part-time)  

Start Date: Training in mid-April

Your main role is to scan and redeem Hop-On Hop-Off tickets, assist drivers as needed, support guests with boarding on and off the bus, and upselling tours or attractions onboard. You’ll answer guest inquiries with confidence, provide a welcoming experience, and work collaboratively with the drivers and sales team. This position requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and comfortably walk or stand for extended periods.

Shifts: 8-hour shifts starting at 8:00am


GUEST SERVICE SPECIALIST, RESERVATIONS (seasonal, full-time or part-time)

Start Date: Training in mid-April

Your primary responsibility is to handle guest inquiries, facilitate bookings, and support sales of our tours and attraction products through phone and email communication. You’ll provide accurate information, assist with reservations, and build warm professional relationships with guests, hotel partners, and tour companies. This role is ideal for someone who is people-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional service, while thriving in a fast-paced contact center environment. Positions are based in our Gastown office.

Shifts: 8-hour shifts, starting as early as 7:00am and ending as late as 9:00pm.

 

IN-MARKET SALES COORDINATOR (seasonal, full-time)

Start Date: Training in March

You will support our In-Market and Partnership Sales Manager with our partnered Hotel Agents by promoting our tours and attractions to hotel concierges and front desk teams, who in turn recommend and sell our services to guests from around the world. You will build and maintain partner relationships by visiting hotels and agents. This fast-paced role requires strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills. Having access to a vehicle and a valid BC Drivers License is required.

Shifts: 8-hour shifts, have to work at least 1 weekend day.
