Reporting to the Supply Chain Superintendent, the Warehouse Supervisor oversees
the receiving and shipping of materials to the site. He will work at the Windfall
site, located in the Nord-du-Québec region, 115 km east of Lebel-sur-Quévillon,
on an 15-day work schedule followed by 13 days off. Transportation, lodging and
meals provided.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the efficient management of warehouse activities;
- Supervise and evaluate a team of warehouse clerks, ensuring positive leadership, transparent communication and ongoing team engagement;
- Create warehouse-related procedures;
- Continuous process optimization;
- Coordinate off-site material shipments;
- Coordinate cyclical inventory counts;
- Active involvement in inventory management with buyers;
- Validate material transport invoices;
- Report to your supervisor any situations that may affect your work, as well as any suggestions for improvement and innovative ideas to improve the supply process;
- Comply at all times with internal policies, laws and regulations on health, safety and the environment;
- Perform any other tasks related to the Warehouse Supervisor position that are relevant to the success of the project.
Qualifications required
- High school diploma;
- More than five (5) years of relevant experience, including two (2) years in warehouse supervision;
- Valid class 5 driver's license;
- Mining modules (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7) an asset.
Technical skills
- Proficiency in Office suite software (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint etc.);
- Knowledge of SAP (an asset);
- Knowledge of the mining industry;
- Good understanding of inventory management principles..
