Summer Outbound Engagement Representative
Location: Onsite at Langley, BC

Term: May – July (40 hours/ week)

Salary Range: $19/hour - $21 /hour

About the Position
This crucial role focuses on engaging and strengthening relationships with our constituents. The ideal candidate will be comfortable making phone calls to raise funds in support of the ministry. We are looking for individuals with dynamic, outgoing personalities and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This position is based at our head office in Langley, BC, and requires in-office presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Outbound Calling
Making donation appeal calls to our established constituent base
Taking prayer requests and occasionally praying on the phone with constituents
Tracking calls in our database
Interacting with constituents on behalf of the ministry, and responding to basic inquiries
Customer Service
Consistently update the database with new or updated constituent account information.
Represent the ministry with excellence and compassion by treating each constituent with respect and understanding.
Identify needs and assist the constituent in connecting to ministries within Focus on the Family Canada.
Other duties (duties may change subject to departmental needs)
Tracking and recording hours and tasks accomplished on a daily basis
General administrative duties
About You
You thrive in a fast-paced work environment
You have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
You are comfortable praying with constituents over the phone
You must be driven and self-motivated, with a willingness to be held accountable to weekly calling targets.
You are comfortable with performing repetitive tasks and using the phone to connect with people.
You have a strong understanding of the mission and vision of Focus on the Family Canada, as well as our products and programs (would be an asset)
You have experience in customer service, call centre experience (would be an asset)
Qualifications
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent or currently pursuing some post-secondary education
Under graduate students or post graduate students are encouraged to apply.
1-2 years of customer service experience
Proven aptitude for learning new software
Ability to multitask and type at a reasonable speed
Excellent interpersonal skills
