Summer Camp Assistant Director / Site Supervisor

The Summer Camp Assistant Director/Site Supervisor is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and supervision of the Summer Camp Program, working closely with the School Age Manager. This role leads a team dedicated to delivering high-quality school-age care while upholding YMCA standards and Department of Children and Families (DCF) regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the Summer Camp Program
- Lead, supervise, and support Program Counselors
- Ensure compliance with YMCA policies and DCF regulations
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to staff
- Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging environment for campers (K–8th grade)
- Communicate regularly with the School Age Manager and submit required reports
- Build positive relationships with families, staff, and community partners
- Model YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility
Qualifications:
- Experience in youth development, camp leadership, or school-age programming
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of child care licensing and DCF regulations
- Excellent organizational, communication, and team-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
