Job Description
We are seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team! In this role, you will work with children with and without hearing loss following a traditional speech-therapy model and will treat patients with hearing loss following an Auditory-Verbal Therapy model.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Assess and treat children with and without hearing
loss
✅ Develop personalized treatment plans to support each
child’s needs
✅ Work closely with audiologists, educators, and
families
✅ Provide parent coaching and support for at-home
practice
✅ Supervise graduate students and SLP-Assistants as
needed
Requirements:
✔ Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
✔ Texas SLP license (or eligibility)
✔ Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
✔ Experience working with children, especially those
with hearing loss
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
Additional Responsibilities:
· Administer speech and language screenings
· Build a strong referral network within the greater Houston area
· Participate in staff development programs
· Prepare and participate in lectures as assigned to the local and professional community
· Participate in an annual review and mutual goal planning for professional development and performance
· Practice in accordance with the ASHA and AG Bell Academy for Listening and Spoken Language Code of Ethics

Complex Problem Solving Skills:
· Caseload Management
o Successfully manage a schedule to include patient appointments, meetings, etc
o Perform all job-related tasks without compromising direct patient care
o Successfully manage difficult cases; request assistance from Director of the Speech Therapy Services as necessary
Basic Competencies
· Internet
Use of the internet for therapy activities and parent resources
· Software
Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
Ability to learn current EMR technology (IMS)
· English Language
Specific Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with other professionals
Travel:
Must be able to travel to attend conferences, training and other events as required to acquire and maintain proficiency in fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.
Physical Demands:
Stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear; able to lift 15 pounds; able to endure outdoor temperatures for camp supervision or special events.
