Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing incoming invoices and ensuring timely, accurate and efficient payment management. He/she will work a hybrid schedule, telecommuting from the Montreal office.

Task and responsabilities :

• Enter invoices received from suppliers;Match invoice with purchase order and receipt;
• Investigate discrepancies with purchdepartment;
• Ensure proper documentation of supporting documents;
• Participate in various continuous improvement projects;
• Identify process improvement opportunities in the accounts payable function to ensure efficiency and accuracy;
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and payments to suppliers;
• Comply at all times with health & safety and environmental policies and regulations;
• Perform any other duties related to the position that are relevant to the success of the project.

Required qualifications

• College diploma or professional studies in accounting.
• At least two (2) years' relevant experience.
• Bilingual (French and English), will be required to interact with the Toronto team and English-speaking suppliers.

Technical competencies

• Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay process control principles
• Experience with integrated ERP software desirable (ideally SAP S/4)
• Experience with MS Dynamics GP and Guide-TI is an asset.
