Southwest Regional Sales Manager (Remote)
The Southwest Regional Sales Manager is responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships with existing and new customers in the assigned Hapco territory. As an RSM, this position will take the lead in the development of new business opportunities that support Hapco’s growth strategy. The Company is seeking someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for sales, and a proven track record of success who takes a hands-on approach to building business opportunities. In this key position, the employee will work closely with the Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to achieve established sales goals. This individual will also support market expansion efforts associated with Hapco’s new production facility in Oklahoma, leveraging the added manufacturing capacity, geographic reach, and customer service advantages to drive growth. This position reports directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Drive profitable sales growth by promoting Hapco’s value proposition and executing commercial strategies to meet or exceed sales goals.
· Recruit, train, and manage sales representatives, distributors, and agency partners within the assigned territory.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, specifiers, partners, and internal stakeholders through training, support, and exceptional service.
· Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, regional sales plan, forecasts, and CRM data to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
· Deliver compelling sales presentations, product training, business reviews, and reports to customers, partners, and leadership.
· Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Care, and Marketing to provide technical and commercial support and promote Hapco products.
· Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities and support strategic growth.
· Maintain accurate sales reporting, analyze performance metrics, and provide regular updates and forecasts.
Customer, Partner & Market Engagement
- Communicate the benefits of Hapco’s expanded manufacturing footprint to agents, distributors, specifiers, contractors, and end users.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support ongoing investment and operational improvements at the Oklahoma facility.
Oklahoma Facility Growth & Market Development
- Promote the strategic advantages of Hapco’s Oklahoma production facility, including improved lead times, expanded production capacity, and enhanced service to customers throughout the Southwestern United States.
- Identify and develop new customers, projects, and channel partners that can be effectively served from the Oklahoma location.
- Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain teams to maximize utilization and growth opportunities created by the Oklahoma manufacturing facility.
Travel Requirements
· Travel is required up to 50% and may include visits to other company facilities, projects, training events and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5–7 years of sales and sales management experience with proven growth results.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in electrical and/or transportation infrastructure sales.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
- Demonstrated success in key account management and business development.
- Proven track record of developing customer relationships and driving revenue growth within the electrical, utility, transportation, or related infrastructure markets.
- Driven and committed to customer service and sales performance.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Utility, Municipal, Department of Transportation (DOT), or 5G infrastructure markets preferred.
- Lighting industry experience preferred.
- Manufacturing or technical sales experience preferred.
- Aluminum or steel pole product sales experience preferred.
- Commercial outdoor lighting sales experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, motivational, and organizational skills.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Strong verbal, telephone, and written communication skills, including email correspondence.

Physical Requirements
- Perform movements such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Requires close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while supporting manufacturing operations.
- Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, and feel.
Work Environment
· The work environment consists of frequent business travel as well as office and manufacturing settings. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) and all plant safety procedures must be followed while in production areas.
