About the Role
We are looking for an experienced RELEASE ENGINEER to join our software development team. In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using Jenkins and Azure Pipelines.
- Manage version control (Git) strategies and branching workflows.
- Oversee release management processes, including release scheduling, coordination, and deployment to various environments.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations teams to ensure consistent and smooth delivery of software from development to production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the build and deployment processes.
- Implement best practices for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to improve efficiency and quality.
- Monitor the health of build systems and proactively address performance bottlenecks.
- Document release processes and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering related field or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of proven track record working in a Release Engineering role or similar.
- Strong knowledge of Git version control systems and branching strategies.
- Strong knowledge of cloud environments (Azure preferred).
- Strong knowledge of issue tracking systems (JIRA preferred).
- Proficiency in scripting to automate repetitive tasks.
