Senior Inventory Analyst
Position Overview:
The Sr. Inventory Analyst is a key role responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and retail order processing and enhancing and enforcing the efficient inventory procedures across main warehouses, Retail Store/Pro Shop locations and eCommerce sites. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication to serve as a key liaison and facilitator among fulfillment/operations, retail stores, and accounting departments for inventory control process improvement and enforcement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily inventory adjustment request from warehouse team; Identify and troubleshoot inventory error or control issues in a timely fashion; Develop and maintain effective monthly reconciliation of Perpetual inventory vs. GL inventory and identify and resolve the discrepancies.
- Manage and support the quarterly CA Pro Shop (15+ locations) physical inventory count, semi-annual Mall store physical inventory count and annual main warehouse physical inventory count around the year-end; Analyze and solve the count discrepancies.
- Responsible for the inventory-related requests of system setup including new virtual warehouse, new product group and associated GL and tax code etc.; Lead the system clean-up efforts on historical setup of product group and master inventory item list.
- Lead the integration and constant monitoring of various eCommerce systems (including Shopify, Amazon and Team Shop etc.) on their order fulfillments and inventory procedures and activities; Assist the retail billing team on sales reconciliation and discrepancy troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory management policies and processes. Identify inefficiencies in inventory management processes and recommend solutions to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with Warehouse operations, Sales Operations, Logistics, and Accounting to ensure smooth and accurate data flow leading to effective problem solving; Provide needed support and training.
- Assist in the month-end close on Inventory In-transit reconciliation and other related merchandise-related balance sheet tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferred in supply chain, business, or related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in inventory control, warehousing, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with common Retail Inventory Management Systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
