Senior Cost Accountant
Responsibilities:
· Lead financial reporting for cost, inventory, and sales analysis, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
· Prepare cost proposals in compliance with U.S. DFARS regulations and lead external audits.
· Coordinate and lead all customer, DCAA and DCMA proposal audits.
· Participate in the monthly close process, preparing journal entries and closing associated Oracle Modules related to Revenue, Cost of Sales and Inventory
· Prepare all post-closing inventory analysis and supporting schedules including the monthly reconciliation of perpetual inventory records to the general ledger.
· Conduct detailed cost and margin analysis to drive margin improvement across the business
· Collaborate with Planning, Supply Chain, and Operations managers to optimize inventory performance.
· Prepare the key manufacturing metrics monthly highlighting key trends.
· Develop and analyze sales forecasts, integrating actuals, backlog, and projections.·
· Oversee cycle counts, physical inventory processes, and variance analysis, identifying key trends.
· Provide critical ad-hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting, with financial analysis, cost accounting, and/or inventory management responsibilities.
- Highly proficient in Excel and financial modeling. Oracle experience strongly preferred. You have a sharp eye for accuracy and a commitment to ensuring financial data integrity.
