Campground Groundskeeper

Location: Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, Alberta
Season: April – October (Seasonal Position)

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Seasonal Groundskeeper / Landscaping Technician to maintain the appearance and health of our campground grounds. This position is primarily focused on lawn care and landscaping, with occasional support for general park operations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining green spaces, and wants seasonal work in a beautiful natural setting.

• Mow, trim, and edge lawns and grassy areas

• Maintain landscaped areas, flower beds, shrubs, and trees

• Water lawns, plants, and trees

• Remove weeds, leaves, and debris from grounds and pathways

• Prune, rake, and perform seasonal grounds upkeep

• Operate and maintain mowers, trimmers, and blowers

• Load, haul, and manage materials for landscaping projects

• Assist with minor maintenance and general repairs

• Deliver firewood to campgrounds

• Help clean campsites, vault toilets, and comfort stations

• Support washroom and day-use area cleaning during busy periods

• Conduct routine inspections and report issues

• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

• Identify and report hazards or safety concerns

• Complete basic work logs and reports

• Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or lawn maintenance preferred

• Comfortable operating lawn equipment

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence

• First Aid Level 1 (or willingness to obtain)

• Criminal Record Check (reimbursed)

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Enjoys physical, outdoor work in all weather

• Strong attention to detail

• Reliable and self-motivated

• Works well independently and on a team

• Takes pride in well-maintained outdoor spaces

• Seasonal position: April to October

• Physically demanding role (lifting up to 50 lbs)
