Screed Operator

Dawson Construction is looking for a Screed Operator who can work collaboratively with the construction team to maintain accurate alignment, grade, and slope during the screeding process.

In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Construction, working in a temporary, full-time position of Screed Operator, reporting to the Superintendent, Paving. Your base location will be Kamloops, B.C. and will require some travel throughout our great province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Always prioritize safety of self and others
• Knowledge of road construction, specifically paving work
• Ability to drive/ operate complex machinery
• Self-motivated, strong analytical skills and detail-oriented
• Knowledge of paving equipment and the paving process

WHAT YOU BRING

• 2-3 seasons experience as a screed operator on municipal & industrial/commercial paving projects
• Working knowledge of Asphalt and related materials
• Working knowledge of methods, techniques and equipment used in Asphalt
• Valid BC Driver’s License
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. independently; more than 50lbs. with assistance
• Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time
