Sales Software Engineer - Missoula MT (On-Site or Remote) - $80,000 - $100,000/year

Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs, technical challenges, and business requirements. Provide technical guidance during the sales process, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct engaging and informative software demos that showcase the value and functionality of LaunchPoint’s solutions. Tailor presentations to address the specific needs of each client and answer technical questions.
- Technical Expertise: Develop an in-depth knowledge of LaunchPoint's products, including SiteRight, Ticket Access, and other utility management tools. Stay current with product updates, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
- Solution Design: Work closely with customers to design and configure solutions that meet their specific needs. Use a consultative approach to understand their business challenges and recommend appropriate software solutions.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle. Ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation and post-sales support.
- Proposal Development: Assist the sales team in developing technical content for proposals, RFP responses, and presentations. Provide detailed explanations of how our software can solve customer problems.
- Training & Enablement: Provide training to customers on product features and usage to ensure they are getting the most out of our software. Support the onboarding process and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Feedback Loop: Act as a bridge between the sales and product development teams, relaying customer feedback and insights to improve product features and usability.
Qualifications & Skills
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of software development, databases, and cloud technologies. Experience with SaaS solutions, utility mapping, GIS systems, or similar technologies is a plus.
- Sales Experience: 2+ years of experience in a sales engineering, technical sales, or customer-facing technical role, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Presentation Skills: Proven ability to deliver compelling presentations and product demos. Comfortable speaking in front of small and large audiences.
- Problem Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose customer issues and find creative, tailored solutions. Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Customer Focused: Passion for delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively across sales, product, and support teams. Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the utility, construction, or telecommunications industries.
- Knowledge of GPS mapping, GNSS, or RTK technology.
- Familiarity with 811 ticket management, damage prevention software, or utility asset management tools.
- Prior experience with ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online integrations.
