Sales Representative - Tree & Plant Health Care / Lawn Treatments
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, knowledgeable Sales Representative to join our team specializing in Tree and Plant Health Care and Lawn Care Treatment services. This role involves consulting with residential and commercial clients to assess needs, recommend tailored treatment plans for trees, shrubs, and lawns (fertilization, pest/disease control, weed control), and drive new business growth.
Responsibilities

Meet with prospective and existing clients to evaluate landscape health and recommend appropriate treatment programs.

Develop customized plans for tree and plant health care services, including insect/disease management, fertilization, and soil amendments.

Propose and sell lawn care treatment programs (weed control, fertilization, soil health, etc.).

Prepare estimates and proposals clearly explaining services and pricing.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships to promote repeat business and referrals.

Coordinate with operations/production teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.

Stay current on industry trends, treatment products, pests/diseases, and best practices.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.

Represent the company professionally in all interactions.
Qualifications

Experience in green industry sales, tree care, lawn care treatments, or related field preferred.

Working knowledge of tree/shrub diagnostics, pest/disease management, and lawn treatment practices.

Excellent communication and consultative sales skills.

Ability to assess site conditions and make sound recommendations.

Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Applicable pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain, if required by state/local regulations).

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions as part of sales assessments.
Desired Skills

Knowledge of local tree and shrub species, common pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.

Understanding of turfgrass management including weed identification and control strategies.

CRM software familiarity is a plus.
