Sales Consultant

HOURS: FULL TIME: 37 - 40 hours average per week.  Hours of work will be any variety of shifts between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. 

Weekdays, weekends and holidays are required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Sells Hotel guestrooms and Food & Beverage services to group clientele.  Obtains sale and transfers information to an Event Coordinator for follow up.  Is proactive in obtaining sales by prospecting for potential business, making sales calls, responding to inquiries, and by telephone calls to past account

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  

High School Diploma or equivalent. 

Two years of continued education or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years experience in related position.

Excellent communication skills (speaks in a professional manner). 

Has the ability to make presentations to groups.

Uses professional selling techniques (asks for the sale).

Proficient in computer programs necessary in an office environment.

Continues to further education by seminars, tapes, classes, etc.

Has a professional appearance:

Uniform clean and in best possible condition.

Professional hair style and make up.

Shirts pressed and white.

Shoes polished.
