Safety Technician (Casual/Part-Time)

Kinetic Safety is currently accepting resumes for Safety Technicians (Casual/Part-Time) in the Bonnyville, AB area.

Role: Safety Technician

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site safety watch, confined space entry watch, atmospheric testing, spark/fire watch, and area gas detection to maintain a safe working environment.
• Oversee confined space activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures and manage entry records meticulously.
• Assist in the preparation of required paperwork for confined space entry, including hazard assessments and entry/tool logs.
• Maintain detailed records of entry conditions, personnel entries and exits, and atmospheric readings.
• Conduct required gas testing at specified intervals to ensure safe atmospheric conditions.
• Ensure all procedures, policies, rules, and permit requirements are strictly followed for work in confined spaces.
• Actively participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote a culture of inclusivity and safety.
• Assist in operating and cleaning respiratory protective equipment.
• Provide support to ensure that all personnel on-site work safely and comply with company and regulatory requirements for Occupational Health & Safety.
• Follow and advocate for all rules, policies, and procedures as per the client’s health and safety program, Kinetic Safety’s HSE program and all applicable legislation.

Qualifications:

• Must reside in Bonnyville AB or live within daily commuting distance
• Minimum required safety tickets include H2S Alive, Intermediate First Aid, Confined Space Entry & Monitor, and Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
• 1+ years experience as a safety technician, safety watch, or confined space watch in the oil and gas industry is an asset
• A valid Canadian Driver’s License with a clean driving record is an asset
