Lead with Heart: RN Supervisor, Weekday Daylight Shift

Transitions Healthcare Gettysburg is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to lead our team of talented caregivers. This is a Monday through Friday, daylight position with participation in a shared on-call rotation.

RN Supervisor Responsibility Highlights include:
· Supervises and supports nursing staff on the unit, providing guidance, direction, and clinical leadership throughout the shift.
· Participates in the facility’s on-call rotation.
· Assists in care planning for residents who need advanced preparation of resident care.
· Ensures timely completion of all paperwork requested by the Nursing Office (monitors, pharmacy reviews, etc.).
· Works with various disciplines in the facility to maintain proper resident care and share information about resident therapy and progress.
· Communicates changes in condition to the MDS Coordinator, Director of Nursing, restorative coordinator, and other necessary parties.
· Writes summaries explaining why residents are being attended to, noting problems and progress, to help physicians coordinate proper care with consulting outside physicians.
· Performs initial assessments of new admissions and hospital returns, prepares documents for doctors’ orders, and orders medications as needed.
· Makes regular rounds to observe resident conditions firsthand and support staff on the floor.

RN Supervisor Qualifications:
· Registered Nurse in good standing with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
· Two (2) years’ experience in institutional resident care preferred; supervisory or charge nurse experience a plus.
· CPR and AED certification.
