The Alberta New Home Warranty Program Group of Companies (ANHWP Group) is Alberta’s most experienced and trusted new home warranty provider and educator for homebuilders. This position resides with Dweller Home Services. Dweller is the newest company from Alberta New Home Warranty Program (ANHWP) and provides various inspection and walkthrough services for Home Builders, Property Managers and soon to be home buyers.
Accountable for:
Dweller Home Services has an immediate vacancy for a Residential Construction Inspector. The successful incumbent will be responsible for conducting inspections at the completed stages of a new home build. This may also include a new homeowner walkthrough. The Residential Construction Inspector will work with numerous home builders to develop relationships and understand their building process, paired with your established inspection skillset.

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Residential Construction Inspector are:
The Residential Construction Inspector will work closely to home builders and home buyers in scheduled in-person appointments in the Calgary and surrounding area (including Cochrane, Airdrie, Chestermere, Okotoks and High River)
Conduct Quality Control inspections on newly built homes
Complete Pre-Possession and Possession walkthroughs, Including homeowner orientations
Provide detailed documented reports in a timely manner, utilizing inspection software
Ensure follow-up is completed in a timely manner with clients
Attend industry functions and networking events (i.e, Builder Breakfasts, Technical Committees and Home Builder functions) to stay current with industry developments
Complete home inspections according to schedule, ensuring punctuality and completion according to established timelines
Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of residential construction Site Supervisor or Home Builder related experience
Previous experience completing Customer Orientations and Possessions with customers
Must have driver's license and personal vehicle without company decals and be capable of carrying a 6 foot ladder
Strong understanding of the Home Inspection industry, regulations and industry knowledge of new home construction
Familiar with home inspection reporting software
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with home builders & their staff
Human skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, relationship builder, interpersonal skills, self-motivated, ability to work independently or a team environment
Maintain professional appearance, demeanor and adhere to privacy policies related to homeowners and builders
Must be able to pass a Criminal Record check and Drivers abstract
