Position Overview

NCCH is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Rehabilitation Aide / Registration Clerk to support both clinical and front-office functions within the Rehabilitation Department. This role assists therapists with patient care activities while also handling patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification

 

Schedule Information  

·         Full Time On-Site 40 Hours

·         Monday -Friday

·         8:00am-4:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists with patient care activities
  • Prepare, clean, and maintain treatment areas and equipment between patients
  • Transport patients safely to and from treatment
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain therapy schedules
  • Register patients, verify insurance, and collect co-pays and required documentation
  • Obtain and verify authorizations and physician orders as needed
  • Enter charges, process payments, and assist with patient account
  • Answer and direct phone calls professionally
  • Provide clerical support to the Rehabilitation Department

Qualifications – Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Previous healthcare, clerical, or customer service experience

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
  • Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and providers

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods
  • Ability to assist with patient transport and support
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
