Information Architect, Senior (2047)

EPSI Worx is seeking an experienced Senior Information Architect to join our client's team as a Mobile Integration Oversight Architect in a remote position in the Washington, D.C. area.

Job Description:

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) Infrastructure team as a Mobile Integration Oversight Architect.

Oversee the deployment of hardware, software, and security architectures for the enterprise EHR. They are required to conduct the following activities:

• Complete PPSM documentation and connectivity tests per an established schedule
• Create, track, and troubleshoot network and firewall change requests.
• Coordinate and facilitate engineering connectivity events between multiple technical stakeholders
• Track, document, and run to closure firewall tickets
• Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting event logs
• Troubleshoot layer 2 and 3 network issues
• Identifies necessary interfaces between enterprise solution applications and legacy IT environments.
• Supports all program/project planning and milestone development

Requirements: 

Minimum qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional work experience
• Able to plan, design, and oversee deployment of complex enterprise-wide or large-scale information architectures including computer hardware and software, operating systems, middleware, communications hardware and software, and security components
• Able to ensure these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures as they apply to the implementation and specification of complex information management solutions
• Identify necessary interfaces between enterprise solution applications and legacy IT environments
• Support all program/project planning and milestone development
• Support business case analysis and identification of alternative solutions and resulting business impacts
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field is required, or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in the VA
• Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
