Professional Development Team - Canada Wide 2026

The Professional Development team plans, schedules, and hosts a number of  workshop series during the summer season, and prepares work for ready deployment of PD workshops in Fall and Winter seasons.   This multidisciplinary team works largely in Zoom and other online workshop platforms to professionally present high-level industry speakers with confidence to audiences of 15 - 300 participants.  Hosts moderate questions and comments throughout the presentation, and make decisions about which questions are asked at which time.  Sessions are recorded and edited for replay viewing. In 2026, we are seeking PD team members who will support and/or specialize in artistic, administrative or technical workshops. 


Full-time summer employment contracts range from 8 -16 weeks, May through September. Post-secondary students are welcomed and encouraged to apply for this position as part of their program requirements for a co-op or work placement. Contracts are funded by the Government of Canada, and offered at the Ontario minimum wage. Please be aware that all positions may not be funded in all locations.


These positions follow a hybrid work structure where employees both work from home and from the office/meet up location(s) as needed, based on demands of specific tasks and projects.


Working from the office/studio or your local meet up location(s) will be required when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration, or in-person supervision. Training and Workshops for this role may be online or in-person. 


Positions:

Professional Development Manager

Professional Development (PD) Managers oversee and be responsible for all operations and staff within the PD department. They will take part in hiring and onboarding processes for their prospective staff, including training and orientation, and will be responsible for scheduling, guiding, and supporting the departments work and goals. They are responsible for planning, scheduling, advertising, and making all arrangements for resources for workshops and training.


Professional Development Coordinator

Professional Development (PD) Coordinators plan, schedule, advertise, and make all arrangements for resources for workshops and training.


PD Host

PD Hosts facilitate the Zoom calls and moderate program participant interactions with workshop and training speakers. They distribute post-activity surveys at the end of each session and ensure attendance is accurate.


PD Video Editor

PD Video Editors will edit online workshops and training video content for on-demand playback.


Typical Work Hours

  • Typically work 35 hours per week

  • Rotational coverage for evenings and weekends as scheduled
