PRODUCTION SPECIALIST

Indianapolis, IN Full-time $20.00-$22.00/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION                                                                    

 POSITION SUMMARY:

Pay: $20-22/Hr.


The Production Specialist role is a shop specific position responsible for specific administrative and non-administrative tasks assigned by the production specialist lead. These tasks will include one or more of the following tasks: Administrative Tasks, A/C Protection, Burn Coupon Fabrication, Placard Fabrication, Shop/Hangar Audits, Wire Printing, and Processing and tracking of plated parts.

 

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

Responsible for protecting the interior of the aircraft and/or its components and ensuring that the aircraft or shop is clean and free of FOD (Foreign Object Debris) during all stages of the building of the aircraft.

1.       Interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure installed interiors meet the design spec, quality standards and customer expectations.

2.       Request material needs timely to ensure a continuous workflow.

3.       Adheres to all regulatory documentation regarding proper sign off, component installation, etc. Ensure paperwork is complied with and completed timely in accordance with the Comlux RSM and other quality standards.

4.       Follow all department safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and equipment.

5.       Ability to receive verbal instruction and follow directions as received

6.       Pre-plan, develop and maintain schedule through aircraft delivery and follow-up. Assisting the team as required, achieving milestone dates and meeting goals through proficient hands-on work, guidance, ensuring equipment and material is available.

7.       Manage workflow to ensure that customer outdates are met. Facilitate status meetings with all departments and shops; update daily (weekly) reports on status of aircraft and report to Director of Interiors.

8.       Other duties as assigned but not covered herein.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:

 

1.       Regular attendance and punctuality required.

2.       Speak, read, and write English fluently.

3.       Have a positive attitude.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


1.       Proficient with interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings.

2.       Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.

3.       Ability to communicate technical issues in an assertive and tactful manner.

4.       Ability to document design and installation issues clearly and concisely.

5.       Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, production work crews, engineers, and quality assurance organizations to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions.

6.       Ability to effectively prioritize workload tasks in a high-pressure environment.

7.       Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical techniques.

8.       Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

9.       Ability to work with minimal supervision.

10.   Willing to travel domestically and internationally when required.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment described here is representative of those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.

The location where this position works is in the back shop of an aircraft hangar environment which could be subject to weather changes and is subject to constant exposure to loud noise, potential contact with hazardous waste material, heavy machinery, and other safety hazards such as cabinets, etc.
