Position Summary 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pricing Assistant to maintain product and pricing information, process price changes and promotions, and ensure company databases and customer pricing records remain accurate and up to date. This position is primarily computer-based and requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create new product records and maintain accurate product, supplier, brand, brand family, and zone databases.

  • Enter and update product costs, pricing, discounts, promotions, and other product information in company systems.

  • Maintain current price lists and promotion schedules for Texas and Oklahoma counties and sales channels.

  • Review supplier price books, promotions, and other pricing information and enter applicable changes into the system.

  • Process supplier price changes, promotional updates, and new item information accurately and timely.

  • Prepare price change notifications, price letters, margin analysis, spreadsheets, and other pricing documents.

  • Gather information required to prepare county- and channel-specific pricing communications.

  • Complete and submit cost change contracts, notifications, and required forms or online submissions for retail customers.

  • Reconcile supplier price promotions and prepare invoices and promotional billbacks for reimbursement.

  • Track supplier reimbursements and verify that payments received are accurate.

  • Create and run reports as needed to support pricing, products, promotions, and accounting activities.

  • Respond to pricing and new-product inquiries from suppliers, customers, and internal employees.

  • Maintain organized and accurate records and ensure pricing and product information is kept current.

  • Work closely with the Pricing Manager and other departments to implement pricing changes and maintain pricing structures.

  • Attend company meetings and communicate effectively with managers and coworkers.

  • Identify opportunities for improving processes and provide constructive feedback and ideas.

  • Maintain a professional, positive, and cooperative attitude when interacting with coworkers, suppliers, customers, and other business partners.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Comfortable performing repetitive computer-based data entry and administrative work.

  • Ability to work with spreadsheets, databases, and multiple computer systems.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to review information carefully and identify discrepancies or errors.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the team.

  • Previous experience with data entry, pricing, inventory, accounting, or administrative work is preferred but not required.
