Position Overview

St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic School is seeking a loving, energetic, and dedicated Pre-K3 Teacher for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will create a safe, joyful, and engaging classroom environment that supports the growth of our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily prayer and model Catholic values

• Foster a warm, nurturing, and structured classroom environment

• Implement age-appropriate lessons through play-based learning

• Develop early language, social, motor, and readiness skills

• Support toileting, routines, and independence skills as needed

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress

• Maintain classroom records, attendance, and progress updates

• Collaborate with faculty and administration

• Attend school meetings, trainings, and events

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or related field preferred

• Louisiana certification or eligibility preferred

• Experience with preschool-aged children preferred

• Strong communication and classroom management skills

• Commitment to Catholic mission and values

• Background check and Safe Environment training required
