Key Responsibilities
Reading Blueprints: Interpreting technical schematics and isometric drawings to plan pipe layouts and positioning. [1]
Fabrication and Shaping: Measuring, cutting, threading, bending, and grooving heavy-duty metal pipes (such as carbon steel or stainless steel). [1]
Joining and Assembly: Fusing pipes together using welding, brazing, soldering, threading, or mechanical bolting. [1]
Testing and Inspection: Using pressure gauges and hydrostatic testing to check systems for leaks and ensure strict adherence to safety codes. [1]
Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshooting system failures, replacing damaged parts, and performing routine checkups in industrial environments.

Power plants, oil refineries, and chemical manufacturing facilities.
Large commercial buildings and institutional heating or cooling plants.
