Pharmacy Technician

IMC is looking to hire a full time Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The Pharmacy Tech assists the Pharmacists by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow Hood; types labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties as required.  Utilizes PYXIS restocking patient areas as well as for inventory management. 

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

• High School Diploma or the equivalent
  
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification or licensure in the State of Louisiana

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

• One-year related pharmacy experience and/or training or graduate of certified training program/healthcare careers college
• Hospital experienced preferred
• Retail experience accepted
• Basic computer knowledge
• Must be motivated
• PYXIS experience preferred
