People and Culture Assistant - Term Position
This position is sponsored by Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) is a program under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS). It helps youth aged 15-30 gain paid summer work experience and develop skills for the job market.
The People and Culture Records Assistant is responsible for maintaining and managing employee records and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of all P&C documentation. This role involves supporting the P&C department in various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of P&C records.
· Record Maintenance: Organize and maintain employee records, including personal information, employment history, and performance evaluations.
· Data Entry: Accurately input and update employee information in HR databases and systems.
· Filing: Ensure all P&C documents are properly filed and easily accessible, both in physical and electronic formats.
· Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.
· Compliance: Ensure P&C record-keeping practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
· Support: Assist the P&C department with various administrative tasks, including preparing reports, correspondence, and documentation.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or HR role is an asset
Skills:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Familiarity with Payworks is an asset
Certifications: Relevant certifications in HR or administrative support are an asset.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move file boxes and office supplies as necessary.
