Payroll Tax Specialist

Cincinnati, OH Part-time $17.00-$25.00/hour

We are looking for a part-time Payroll Tax Specialist to join our team!  This position could become full-time at a later date.

Position Summary

The Payroll Tax Specialist will play a key role in ensuring tax compliance, accurate tax reporting, and other miscellaneous applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

     Assist in state and local withholding and unemployment accounts applications and account closures.

·            Assist with maintaining client files

·            Assist with and prepare and review payroll tax filings, including monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

·            Investigate and resolve payroll tax discrepancies swiftly and efficiently.

·            Utilize payroll and tax software to ensure precise tax calculations and reporting.

       Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex tax regulations and apply them to payroll processes.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.

·       Keen eye for identifying discrepancies and ensuring accuracy in all tax-related tasks.

·       Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams. 

Education and Experience:

·            High School Diploma

·            Some office experience required

·            Accounting and/or payroll experience preferred

·       This is an office-based position.  Occasional remote work may be approved for special circumstances with advance manager approval.

·            Requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·            Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 15 pounds) may be necessary.

·            Typically performed in an office setting with standard office equipment.

·            Requires focus and adaptability in a dynamic and occasionally high-pressure setting.
