Patient Services Representative (Healthcare)

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Switchboard Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while efficiently managing a high volume of calls in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Prior healthcare experience is required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer, screen, and route incoming calls appropriately
  • Take and relay messages accurately and promptly
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy setting
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and staff
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant or LPN certification preferred
  • Basic knowledge of medication pronunciation
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload
  • Comfortable sitting for extended periods the workday
  • Proficient in computer systems and relevant software
