The future is bright for the Porch Group, and we'd love for you to be a part of it as the Head of Demand for the Moving Group, the division of Porch that arranges moving services for homebuyers. The Moving Group is made up of 4 companies that Porch has acquired: HireAHelper, SML, Moving Staffers and Moving Place.

As the Partner Program Manager for Porch’s Moving Group, you'll contribute to the growth and success of the division by generating, owning and nurturing key strategic partnerships. 

You will work cross-functionally to identify, develop and manage new partner programs and grow and monetize existing relationships. You should be results-oriented with the ability to think strategically and execute methodically to deliver and improve the impact of our partnerships.  You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others inside and outside our organization.

You will have 12+ years of experience in partner development with a proven foundation of analytical, negotiation, and partner integration/optimization skills preferably in web or software-based businesses.  Our ideal candidate will function as part analyst, part operator, part business development, and part corporate strategist to drive value for the Porch Moving Group. 

This is a remote opportunity for full-time employment.

What You Will Do

  • Own and personally execute on the partner specific business development lifecycle including:

    • Primary - Implementation and nurturing of partner relationships

      • Act as Partners’ Account Manager becoming a trusted thought leader with internal and partner functional leaders (operations, marketing, etc.) uncovering, informing and influencing partner business strategies (e.g., customer problems, key product gaps, new commercial models), building mutually successful integrations, and creating long-term successful relationships. 

      • Track, analyze, and communicate key metrics to partners and to internal, cross-functional / senior leaders.  Specific focus on customer experience issues/CSAT scores, volume shifts, and conversion changes.  Report on performance anomalies, field partner questions, and run point with internal stakeholders to deliver answers.

      • Responsible for creating/tracking flowcharts for all partner demand sources and mapping out/optimizing nurture tracks to grow partner demand.  Create and share clear full funnel reporting for each partner demand source.

      • Generate holistic compelling partnership business cases, think strategically and act on ideas, and effectively pitch these ideas to partners and key internal stakeholders.

      • Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns. Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.

      • Train existing/new partner agents and call center reps on our products and operations.

      • Manage and improve self-service partnership portal working closely with design, engineering, marketing, etc.

    • Secondary - Prospecting, negotiating and bringing on new partners

      • Identify and execute on new opportunities from beginning to end driving strategy/planning, pipeline development, prospecting, terms negotiation and contract drafting.

      • Shape, discuss and establish agreements/partnerships demonstrating fluency in legal and business issues in contracts and developing creative win-win solutions with our partners.

    • Encourage and contribute to the culture and values of the Porch team to strengthen employee engagement.

What You Will Bring

  • BA required, MBA or MS Degree a plus.  

  • 12+ years of experience working in business development, with over 5 years generating, leading and integrating partnership deals.

  • Proven success in similar roles, growing and managing multiple accounts successfully, developing business opportunities, integrating multi platform partnerships (preferably experience in  call centers with 200+ agents), and structuring and closing partner deals ideally in web or software-based businesses.

  • Ability to lead and collaborate on high-impact and complex projects from proposal through post-mortem with a strong focus on collecting, analyzing, influencing and presenting metrics.

  • Organized individual capable of simultaneously managing/optimizing existing relationships and executing agreements across multiple brands and partners.

  • Experience navigating complicated business org structures, identifying and reaching decision-makers, developing working relationships at all levels of management, both internal and external, crafting/communicating proposals and ultimately driving successful outcomes.

  • Comfortable presenting to, influencing and escalating issues to senior executives, including C-level staff.

  • Must have the ability to communicate a vision and direction to partners, customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to form, articulate and negotiate contractual, technical, financial and strategic value points and strategic trade-offs with partners and internal teams.

  • Thrives in ambiguous environments and capable of transforming strategic thinking into executable initiatives that align with organizational goals. 

  • Able to solicit feedback demand, marketing, and sales teams on what is working and what’s not and drive improvement in our messages and content.

  • Comfort working in a dynamic, rapidly growing, tech-forward organization with an understanding of web metrics,  technologies and systems including Google Analytics, Hubspot, and API integrations.

  • Familiarity with search, digital advertising or e-commerce landscapes in B2B and B2C environments.

  • Highly motivated, self-directed individual who also is a team player.

  • Ability to work with partners based in the US east and west coast time zones.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
