Paralegal
Future Opportunity: Join Our Talent Pipeline
We’re not hiring for this role today, but great people are worth meeting before we need them. We’re building a shortlist of talented Paralegals, and when a spot opens, you’ll be the first to hear from us.
If you’re someone who takes pride in keeping cases moving forward, communicating clearly, and juggling multiple priorities without losing attention to detail, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Support attorneys with day-to-day case work from intake through resolution
- Draft and file legal documents, correspondence, discovery, and settlement materials under attorney guidance
- Manage case files, deadlines, and calendars to make sure nothing falls through the cracks
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, medical providers, and insurance companies
- Prepare demand packages, discovery responses, and case summaries as needed
- Help coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and other case-related events
- Keep case information accurate and organized using our case management system (Neos)
- Work closely with attorneys and staff to prioritize tasks and keep cases moving efficiently
- Pitch in with general administrative support when needed — we’re a small team and work together
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm setting (personal injury experience is a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and legal case management software (Neos, Filevine, Clio, etc.)
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability
- A client-focused mindset and calm, professional demeanor
Why This Role Works
- You’ll have hands-on involvement in cases, not just task work
- You’ll work directly with attorneys and be part of meaningful case strategy conversations
- You’ll be trusted to manage your work and take ownership of files
- You’ll join a collaborative, team-oriented office where your work matters
Schedule & Work Environment
- Must be able to work full-time on site in one of our firm locations (Virginia Beach, Roanoke, or Eastern Shore)
- General hours: 9a-5pm (~35 hour work week)
