Packer
Egg Packers are responsible for placing egg cartons, flats, and other packaging materials into boxes and crates. Egg Packers must be able to lift 25-30lbs, read labels, check dates, keep their workstations organized and communicate with others. Additionally, individuals must strive to meet food safety, sanitation standards, and be comfortable working around automation. You will be part of the local food system where the eggs you pack will end up in local grocery stores, restaurants and distributors in the Central New York region.
This is a team environment, cross training and promotion is available. Egg Packers must have the ability to prioritize tasks and work on their feet. We are USDA inspected, and New York Grown and Certified egg farm. You may not own pet birds, backyard flocks, ducks, turkeys, pheasants or geese for biosecurity purposes.
Typical Processing Hours: ~25-35 hours a week, weekly paycheck. This position is year-round.
Hours:
- Monday: 6:30 am-3pm
- Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday: 7:30am-2:30pm
- Saturday: 8:30am-2:30pm
