NBA Bartenders
Bartenders mix drinks and serve them to customers. They may order drinks from suppliers, keep track of customer alcohol consumption, and collect payments.
A successful bartender should be able to mix drinks quickly and accurately. They must be able to remember customer preferences and have good customer service skills. They should also be able to work well under pressure and be able to multitask.
Some bartenders may be responsible for ordering liquor and supplies, stocking the bar, and keeping the bar area clean.
Most bartenders work in restaurants, bars, hotels, and other establishments that serve alcohol. Some bartenders may also work in private homes or events.
A high school diploma or GED is usually the minimum education requirement for bartenders. Many bartenders receive on-the-job training. Some bartenders may choose to get formal training by completing a bartending program.
Most bartenders work in shifts that include nights and weekends. Bartenders usually earn minimum wage plus tips.
Bartenders must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol in the United States.
