General Laborer

Job Summary
The General Laborer provides essential support across all areas of the mining equipment repair shop. This role assists skilled trades, supports production activities, and helps maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform material handling using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools
• Clean equipment, components, and work areas
• Assist welders, assemblers, machinists, and technicians
• Organize tools, parts, and materials
• Support shop setup and teardown activities

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment
• Willingness to learn and perform a variety of tasks
• Ability to use hand and powered tools
• Strong work ethic and reliability

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

·         Heavy industrial shop environment involving large equipment, powered tools, welding and cutting processes, and lifting devices, with exposure to fumes, sparks, oils, dust, noise, and other typical industrial hazards.

·         Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, reach, and work in various physical positions while handling tools and materials. Must be capable of lifting and positioning components using approved lifting devices and strictly following safety procedures and required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
