Job Summary
The Quality Inspector ensures mining equipment repairs, rebuilds, and fabricated components meet quality, safety, and customer specifications. This role is critical to ensuring underground mining equipment performs reliably and safely in service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect components, assemblies, and completed equipment
• Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and procedures
• Measure and verify critical dimensions and tolerances
• Document inspection results and quality records
• Identify nonconformances and communicate findings

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience in quality inspection or industrial manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Experience using precision measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

·         Industrial inspection environment within a heavy manufacturing and mining equipment repair facility, involving inspection of large steel structures, mechanical assemblies, and refurbished mining components. Work is performed around energized equipment, overhead lifting devices, forklifts, cranes, and powered tools, with exposure to industrial noise, oils, dust, vibration, and other shop-related conditions.

·         Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, reach, and work in various physical positions while performing inspections. Must be capable of accessing equipment at different elevations, handling measurement tools, and strictly following safety procedures and required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
