POSITION TITLE: Ministry Coordinator - Groups & Teams CLASSIFICATION: Exempt STATUS: Regular Full-Time (40 hours) LOCATION: CBC Central Campus REPORTS TO: Groups Director JOB SUMMARY The Ministry Coordinator in this role is responsible for supporting the Groups and Teams Ministries at the Nav level, supporting both the Groups Director and the Teams Pastor. This individual foremost must be a disciple of Christ, diligent in their ways to become more like Jesus through a lifestyle of Up, In and Out rhythms; subsequently, be a positive example of the CBC Way (5-H’s) in all aspects. The Ministry Coordinator will have a significant role coordinating a multitude of disparate tasks, helping to facilitate the day-to-day operations while helping to enable future work models. This individual must exemplify an excellent work ethic, be well organized, capable of working in ambiguous situations with a high level of attention and allegiance to the big picture while working the finite details of the process. Assimilation Associate must also be able to foster close relationships with Group and Team Directors, Coaches and Leaders, being a present and able resource. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. ● Be the primary contact for CBC Marketing, maintaining Teams and Groups related content (all mediums) in all spaces Operate in a supportive role for All-Star events as needed ● Become efficient in Rock Profiles, Team and Group tree setup, Steps, Connections, Reports and Communication Templates within ROCK RMS ● Carry-out administrative duties such as capturing meeting notes, copying, preparing event materials, etc ● Complete and submit necessary forms for Teams Pastor and Groups Director, including room reservations, marketing requests, credit card reconciliation, print shop orders, and other similar tasks ● Work closely with other internal departments and ministries to ensure process development and adherence ● Assist Teams and Groups in maintaining the accuracy of leader and group data in Rock ● Maintain files, records, and documents ● Manage and respond to communications from multiple sources (email, text, phone, voicemail, social media) ● Assist with audio-visual, set-up, welcome, and check-in procedures for internal and external meetings/events/classes ● Attend staff meetings and participate in staff development opportunities ● Be an active, supportive team member helping to ensure the highest levels of performance from each member COMPETENCIES ● Possess strong communication skills in the English language (verbal and written) ● Ability to maintain professional relationships with other ministries ● Highly organized, able to maintain accurate and detailed records of leaders and groups ● Ability to respond to emergent or stressful situations in a calm and professional manner ● Warm, personable, and energetic demeanor with professional and pleasant phone manner ● Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, work independently, multitask, and produce results in a high-stress environment ● Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides) or Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) ● Comply with standard departmental procedures ● Highest level of personal integrity with an uncompromised commitment to the maintenance of the confidentiality and privacy of all personal and church matters, data, and information ● Must be forward-thinking and anticipate the needs of others POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a regular full-time position Sunday -Thursday. Occasional night and weekend work will be required as job duties demand. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to do the following: ● Must have good or corrected vision as well as effective peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus ● Must have good manual dexterity and be able to use repetitive motion of the hands and arms ● Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time ● Must be able to move about inside the office and file rooms to perform a variety of tasks ● Must be able to frequently and effectively communicate in both written and verbal form ● Must be able to occasionally lift 25 pounds and/or push/pull objects up to 50 pounds ● Occasional events/activities outdoors in the heat, occasional events/activities requiring prolonged standing ● Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching ● Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ● High school education, GED, or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred ● Minimum 2 years of experience working or volunteering in an administrative and/or supportive role, preferably in a large work environment, but not required WORK ENVIRONMENT Duties are performed in a variety of settings to include, outside, office and technical settings where the work and general environment may be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employee can effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and manage multiple projects in a service-oriented environment. Environmental noise levels are minimal.
