We are recruiting for a Full-Time Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our skilled team of pediatric professionals in Marlton, NJ. This position is benefit eligible.  

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is a creative, hands-on member of the Marketing and Communications team who helps bring the organization’s stories, services, people, and impact to life. This role supports marketing, communications, community engagement, and business development initiatives, with a primary focus on Voorhees Pediatric Facility and both Weisman Children’s and Voorhees Pediatric Facilitiy’s Medical Day Care programs. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will help capture and share meaningful patient, family, staff, and program stories while also supporting the day-to-day marketing and communications needs of the department.

This position is ideal for an energetic, thoughtful, and out-of-the-box thinker who enjoys storytelling, social media, photography, video, community engagement, and finding fresh ways to connect with audiences. The Coordinator should be comfortable paying attention to marketing trends, exploring new ideas, and helping the organization push the boundaries of how healthcare services are communicated in a way that is creative, engaging, appropriate, and meaningful.

Working closely with the Marketing Communications Manager, Director, internal team members, clinical and program staff, graphic designers, and other partners, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator helps create engaging content, support campaigns, coordinate materials, and ensure that internal and external communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with the organization’s brand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, coordinate, monitor, and execute social media content in collaboration with the Marketing Communications Manager and Marketing and Communications team.
  • Help develop marketing approaches that are engaging and modern while remaining appropriate for a healthcare setting and consistent with the organization’s mission, values, and brand.
  • Look for opportunities to enhance how the organization connects with patients, families, referral sources, staff, and the community through visual content, storytelling, digital platforms, and emerging communication methods.
  • Create short and long-form video content for social media, websites, internal communications, events, and other marketing needs.
  • Identify, write, and support patient, family, staff, and program success stories in coordination with the Marketing Communications Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Manager and Director to test new content ideas, campaign concepts, and communication strategies that help expand awareness and engagement.
  • Create, coordinate, and update marketing and communication materials for department, program, and organizational needs.
  • Work with graphic designers, internal departments, and external partners to support the development of flyers, brochures, digital content, presentations, event materials, and other branded resources.
  • Support website content updates for Voorhees Pediatric Facility and the Medical Day Care sections of the Weisman Children’s website in coordination with the Marketing Communications Manager.
  • Gather content, write, develop, and disseminate Voorhees Pediatric Facility’s newsletter.
  • Use a DSLR camera and other tools to capture photos and videos for marketing, storytelling, events, and organizational communications.
  • Help maintain a regular marketing presence at Voorhees Pediatric Facility and the Medical Day Care locations by visiting sites, connecting with staff, gathering content, and identifying story opportunities.
  • Support marketing campaigns, outreach initiatives, and promotional efforts.
  • Coordinate schedules, materials, logistics, and participation for public, community, and organizational events.
  • Engage with community members, partners, families, and staff through various communication channels.
  • Conduct e-blasts and other targeted communications to relevant audiences.
  • Assist with webinars, virtual events, and presentations as needed.
  • Participate in and support employee engagement activities, internal events, and organizational initiatives.
  • Help maintain brand consistency across internal and external communications.
  • Monitor marketing material inventory and work with the Director and/or Manager to maintain adequate supplies.
  • Order supplies for internal and external department needs, track expenses, and work with Accounts Payable to ensure proper charge accountability.
  • Oversee the Voorhees Pediatric Facility digital survey platform and assist with related reporting or follow-up as needed.
  • Assist with market research, competitive review, community awareness efforts, and evaluation of marketing initiatives.
  • Work occasional evenings or weekends to support events, community activities, or special projects.
  • Manage and execute additional projects and duties as assigned by the Director and/or Manager.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, media, digital communications, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms.
  • Interest or experience in photography, video creation, and basic editing.
  • Creative thinker who enjoys developing new ideas and bringing them to life.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow projects through from idea to completion.
  • Comfortable communicating with patients, families, staff, community members, and external partners.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and comfort speaking with individuals or small groups.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make thoughtful decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Customer service, sales, healthcare, nonprofit, or community outreach experience preferred.
  • Video editing, social media management, email marketing, website content management, or graphic design experience preferred.
