MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - MADISONVILLE, LA

Madisonville, LA Full-time $18.00-$22.00/hour

DESCRIPTION

The Maintenance Technician will maintain all machinery so that machines are working properly, as well as perform repairs throughout the facility. Coordinate with the maintenance manager, maintenance supervisor, production personnel, contractors, and engineering team to ensure that all equipment, buildings, and grounds are maintained in such a way as to safely support servicing our customers. The primary focus of the position is to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all assets to ensure maximum uptime as well as ensure that repair and pm parts are ordered and installed in accordance with industry standards.

RESPONSIBILTIES

-Maintain and repair all equipment to ensure maximum uptime of the equipment as well as troubleshoot equipment in a timely manner while being able to requisition parts and services

-Perform outside maintenance as well as refrigeration maintenance and waste water maintenance as needed

-Fabrication of parts, welding (TIG), electrical, and plumbing

-Maintain personal GMPs

-Perform other duties as assigned

-The willingness to safely respond to and work with Anhydrous Ammonia on a regular basis

-Provide great customer service to internal customers such as QA Warehousing, Operations, and Management

QUALIFICATIONS 

-The ability to use testing equipment like volt meters, amp meters, lumen meters, rulers, tape measures, squares, tachometers, and gas meters

-Intermediate and advanced knowledge of electrical controls, VFD, PLC

-Must be able to work on special projects as they arise

-High School diploma

-Work experience & skills

-At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance including electrical\mechanical troubleshooting, knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, AC motors

-Ability to read and follow schematics and wiring diagrams

-Ability to think of logical process controls and make adjustments to optimize the objective at the least cost to the company

-Ability to read a flow chart

-Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

-Skilled in Safety applied to Chemical handling and personal protective equipment, lockout/tag out the application, and SDS application

-Ability to lift 50 lbs
