Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing shop equipment and facility systems that support mining equipment repair and rebuild operations. This role is essential to minimizing downtime, supporting safe operations, and maintaining overall facility reliability.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on shop machinery and tools
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and facility-related issues
• Repair or replace worn, damaged, or failed components
• Support facility upkeep including lighting, doors, air systems, and utilities
• Assist with equipment installations and relocations
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience in industrial or facility maintenance
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Familiarity with shop equipment and industrial tools
• Ability to follow maintenance schedules and safety procedures
• Strong problem-solving skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Industrial maintenance environment within a heavy manufacturing and mining equipment repair facility, involving maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of shop machinery, production equipment, and facility systems. Work is performed around mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, powered tools, lifts, and industrial utilities, with exposure to noise, dust, oils, chemicals, and other typical industrial conditions.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders and platforms, bend, kneel, reach, and work in various physical positions while performing maintenance activities around operating machinery. Must be capable of handling tools and components using approved lifting devices and following all safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
