The model Lead Host person is responsible for ensuring the prompt recognition and seating of all guests in outlets as assigned and assists the servers in providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to guests throughout their dining experience. He/she is also responsible for assisting the management team in floor plans, station assignments, menus and seating charts. 

Qualifications

  1. High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  2. Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  3. Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  4. Ability to stand during entire shift, 
  5. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  6. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  7. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  8. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  9. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper form fitting uniforms and nametag.
  10. Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  11. Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  12. Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  13. Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  14. Perform other duties as requested by management.
  15. Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.


Responsibilities

  1. Being the constant presence at the door, setting the room and team up for success.  
  2. Selling the room and booking all parties. 
  3. Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner.
  4. Be attentive of guests' needs assist in providing a pleasant dining experience.
  5. Know how to prepare seating chart, floor plans and set team up for the shift.
  6. Personal concierge for VIP guests and property leadership for all Luna needs. 
  7. Know how to properly take reservations for outlets and pre plot all large parties. 
  8. Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance. Ability to print and format all menus.  
  9. Perform opening and closing duties according to established side work checklist.
  10. Have a complete knowledge of standards of service and knowledge of food menu.  
  11. Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in all applicable departments and be a liaison for all hotel departments.  
  12. Assist staff and managers in the servicing of guests as needed.
  13. Ensure overall guest satisfaction by building relationships with guests.
