Local Firewatch/General Laborers needed for the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in Hawaii

Venture Dynamics is actively seeking LOCAL Firewatch/General Laborers for the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in Hawaii.

PAY IS $20.00-$21.00/HR, DOE.

Contract Duration: Starts ASAP. Temp to Perm.

DAY AND SWING SHIFTS AVAILABLE.

Job Summary:
-Firewatch are responsible for monitoring "hot work" (welding, cutting) or high-risk areas to prevent fires. They proactively identify hazards, maintain safety equipment, and possess authority to stop work if dangers arise,

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

-Continuous Monitoring: Actively watch for sparks, smoldering, or flames during hot work operations, which requires 100% focus and no other assigned tasks.

-Hazard Mitigation: Inspect areas before, during, and after shifts, ensuring flammable materials are moved or covered.

-Emergency Response: Immediately extinguish small fires, activate alarms, and call your supervisor and 911 if necessary.

-Equipment Readiness: Maintain and know how to operate fire extinguishers, hoses, and hydrants.

-Safety Coordination: Ensure compliance with fire safety permits and maintain communication with workers.

-Reporting: Log, document, and report anythin unsafe.

Qualifications:
-Previous experience as a Shipyard Worker or in a similar role is a must.
-Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with tools and equipment is highly preferred.
-Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.

-Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
-Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

 Key Requirements:

-Completion of Marine OSHA 10 training is mandatory.

-Citizenship- U.S Citizen with proof (Enhanced Driver License/ID or Real ID along with Birth Certificate or U.S Passport).

-Must be able to obtain a "DBIDS" Badge.

-Certifications- Maritime OSHA 10 certification.

-Experience- Previous shipyard experience required.

-Working Hours- 50-60 hours per week.

Scheduling:

-Diverse shifts include 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts.

-Monday through Friday with overtime, and weekends as requested by client.
